Sacrifices By Chris T. Kat Book Tour
Author Bio:
Chris T. Kat lives in the middle of Europe, where she shares a house with her husband of many years and their two children. She stumbled upon the M/M genre by luck and was swiftly drawn into it. She divides her time between work, her family—which includes chasing after escaping horses and lugging around huge instruments such as a harp—and writing. She enjoys a variety of genres, such as mystery/suspense, paranormal, and romance. If there’s any spare time, she happily reads for hours, listens to audiobooks, or does cross stitch.
Blurb:
When he was outed on the local news, Jeff Woods gave up his dream job as a detective to become an on-air radio personality. The sacrifice was worth it to keep Alex and Sean in his life, but Alex lost his job, too. Jeff can tell Alex worries he’s pressuring Jeff too much, first with Sean and now the lack of money, but he has no idea what that will lead Alex to do. Desperate times bring out the stupidity in some people, and when Jeff discovers Alex is in over his head in a situation he can’t handle, he needs all his self-control to stay calm.
Life is not easy with the Church of Virtue still spouting venom wherever they go, homophobes at the police department, a gangster who wants Alex in the worst possible way, and a bed that barely holds one grown man, much less two (and a child), but Jeff is there to stay for good, and he’ll do what it takes to make Alex believe him.
Interview:
What do you have planned for future stories for your detective?
Sacrifices is the second book in the Jeff Woods Mystery series. I knew right from the beginning that I couldn’t wrap up everything in one or two books and quickly decided on three. For a short time I toyed with the idea of a fourth book, but abandoned the idea. Jeff Woods’ story, and developing relationship with Alex Fisher, will be done in three books.
The third book, called Swordplay, is written and currently with my beta. I hope to submit it soon, and of course I hope Dreamspinner Press will accept my submission. So what’s the third and last book about?
I can’t tell you much because that would give away too much of the plot of Sacrifices. At the end of Sacrifices, Jeff and Alex come to an understanding about their future, and in the third book they’ll have to deal with the consequences of their decision. There’s also the fact that they have to deal with the growing pains of becoming a family, although Sean makes it easy on them.
Meanwhile, Jeff has to solve a difficult case, he meets new people, and adjusts to his new life. The third book definitely has a Happy Ever After, and as much as I’ll miss these boys, I’m glad I was able to accompany their journey.
Maybe there’ll be a spin-off in the cards for Parker (Jeff’s partner on the force) and his boyfriend David. I know some people would be interested in a story about them, and it would have the advantage of showing glimpses of Jeff, Alex, and Sean, but at the moment I’m not sure if I’ll write it. To me the series ends with Swordplay, and I’ll be sailing off to new adventures with new characters. 🙂
