If it’s received well, there will be another story featuring at least two more books with two more people from the series.

There is at least two more stories with me and KC Wells for the Collars & Cuffs series (plus one that she will write herself). First is the single issue she’s writing. Then we’re going to turn Collars & Cuffs on its ear with a new couple that doesn’t quite fit the mold.

And finally, we’re going to start a book that grabs us with an act of violence and threatens the cohesion of the subs.

For Parker himself, we have Protector of the Alpha which I just finished yesterday and is now at the beta readers who will tell me what needs to be tightened up and made less stupid.

Then it goes off to the editor who will race through it with a huge pair of scissors and neuter my poor boys. If they make it off the chopping block they’re going to be self-published.

If they succeed in moving onto the next round, there is another group hot on their heels.

And another project that’s at the editor is the rerelease of ‘Lost Time’. Almost 2k more words and an alternate ending.

Storming Love with Bear & Travis from MLR comes out in September, too. Part of a series of six books, Storming Love events revolve around Hurricane Lauris and how it affects the lives of twelve men (six couples).

In Bear & Travis, Bear is going to make a perilous journey to get to the man he’s fallen in love with through their communications. When Lauris strikes, it becomes a battle for survival.

June 6th, 2013 ‘500 Miles’ came out. It was my first release and I was so freaking nervous about it. Still, people embraced Mark and Jase. I couldn’t believe how well it did and you wouldn’t believe how humbled I was by it. That was the beginning of the greatest year of my life.

I’m not even sure I’ll hit everything that happened over the year, but I’m going to give it a shot.

   SomeonetoKeepMeT

I  teamed up with KC Wells to write Someone To Keep Me. THAT was an amazing experience. While most people enjoyed the story, there were, of course, complaints about the fact that Ben wasn’t a know-it-all Dom and made mistakes (some pretty big ones). KC and I still think we did something really good with it and hold it up as a shining example of our joint efforts. We also got to celebrate in person when KC made her maiden voyage to the United States!

  Mr Average

I wrote Mr. Average for MLR Press.

Pitch 400x600Final

I got published by Harmony Ink with Pitch (which was technically my first story since it was submitted before Mr. Average). And was stunned to get a cover from none other than the amazing Reese Dante!

PF2014

I got to become one of the proofreaders for the Pulp Friction series by Laura Harner, Havan Fellows, Tom Webb, and Lee Brazil – all of whom I’ve become friends with. (And their minds are scary to behold!)

  KLM+Jet+Plane+by+FaceMePLS

I hopped on a plane for the first time and went to GRL – my first ever convention – and met some absolutely amazing people. Piper Vaughn, Rhys Ford, Becky Condit, Max Vos, Tom Webb, Laura Harner (who let me hang out in her room when it got overwhelming), Amy Lane, Anne Tenino, Eden Winters, SJD Peterson, JP Barnaby, Angel Martinez, Silvia Violet (who isn’t violet at all), Amanda Atchley (who shocked the cookies out of me), Cate Ashwood (who cried when I met her, which made me feel bad), Zallora, Andrew Grey, and so so so many others.

The cover for Lost Time, part of the Love Has No Boundaries anthology from Goodreads.

I wrote a free story for Goodreads called Lost Time and the wonderful Sara York kindly made a cover for me!

Nuttin' For Christmas

I wrote Nuttin’ For Christmas which got the perfect cover from Madison Parker.

KC and I got a contract for Damian’s Discipline – book 5 in the Collars and Cuffs world (which will again feature a different type of story).

I got a contract for Wet Paint (sequel to Pitch). It’s Benny and Addy’s story and (I hope) is better than Pitch (or so I’m told).

I also started Pride-Promotions, which has gone great so far. It’s an honor working with so many stellar authors.

I won awards!

Oh, and lest I forget, I gave notice at my job. Almost 28 years and now it’s time we part ways.

And I got to nearly ONE THOUSAND friends on Facebook. I don’t know what the future holds, but thank you for being part of it with me.

K.C. Wells

Author Bio:

Born and raised in the north-west of England, K.C.Wells always loved writing. Words were important. Full stop. However, when childhood gave way to adulthood, the writing ceased, as life got in the way.

K.C. discovered erotic fiction in 2009, where the purchase of a ménage storyline led to the startling discovery that reading about men in love was damn hot. In 2012, arriving at a really low point in life led to the desperate need to do something creative. An even bigger discovery waited in the wings – writing about men in love was even hotter…

K.C. now writes full-time and is loving every minute of her new career.

The laptop still has no idea of what hit it… it only knows that it wants a rest, please. And it now has to get used to the idea that where K.C goes, it goes.

Blurb:

John Wainwright is having a momentous day. To start off, he lands his first teaching job. Then his brother, Evan, and Evan’s husband, Daniel, take him out to celebrate in Manchester’s gay village. An encounter with a sexy man forces John to admit what he’s been denying for too long—he’s gay. His coming out proves he’s supported and loved by his family and roommates. What more could a man want? There’s just one small problem: John’s dishy Head Teacher, Brett Sanderson, and John’s gigantic crush on him. Too bad Brett is straight.

Brett Sanderson leads a double life. At thirty-three, he is the Head Teacher of a primary school. But for seven years now, during every school holiday, Brett has fled to Brighton, where he becomes ‘Rob,’ a man who has a different guy in his bed every night but has never had a relationship.

Once he’s back in school, Brett is firmly back in that closet, until his newest staff member starts prying open the door. When John pulls out all the stops to get Brett’s attention, neither man is prepared for the consequences.

…Where Brett buys a bed and John tries to help  😛

“Remind me again why you decided you had to come with me?” Brett asked, casting a glance around the Home Furniture floor of Debenhams department store. He couldn’t see anyone he knew, but that didn’t ease his nerves.

“Because you said you needed a new bed,” John came back, “and seeing as I’ve seen your bed—intimately—you need some advice.”

Brett frowned. “What’s wrong with my bed?”

John snorted. “It’s ancient! It has springs, for God’s sake.” He winked. “Let’s face it, you’re getting to be an old man. You need some advice from a younger gay guy.” He chuckled.

Brett folded his arms across his chest. “Oh, you are going to be for it when we get back to my place.”

John waggled his eyebrows. “Promises, promises.” He looked around at the selection of beds. “There’s loads to choose from here.”

Brett shoved his hands in his jeans’ pockets. “Well, we’d better look for a big one.” Then a thought crossed his mind and he grinned. “After all, I need the room.”

John frowned. “What do you mean?”

“Do you know how hard it is sharing a bed with you? I wake up and you’re taking up three-quarters of it. And there’s me, squashed into this tiny bit right at the edge of the bed.” He chuckled. “Plus, there’s the way you sleep. It’s like sleeping next to a starfish.”

John huffed. “Charming.”

Brett wasn’t finished. “And then we need more room, for obvious reasons.” His gaze swept downward to John’s crotch.

John blushed bright red. “Brett!”

“Can I help you?”

Brett turned to see a young woman, obviously a sales assistant, standing beside the nearest bed.

John gave him an evil smile before giving her his attention. “Yes, we’re looking for a new bed.”

She looked from John to Brett and back to John again. Her cheeks flushed pink. “Er, I’ll be right back.” She disappeared toward the sales desk.

Brett arched his eyebrows. “What’s up with her?”

John shrugged. “Who cares? Let’s try out some beds.” He wandered over to a king sized bed and sat on it. “Ooh, this one feels firm.” He gazed suggestively at Brett. “So, how do you like it? Firm, soft?”

Brett shook his head. “You are a wicked man.”

John stretched out on the bed and patted the space next to him. “Come on, try it.”

Brett shook his head. “Uh uh.”

John grinned. “Oh, come on, it’s not like I’m going to leap on you in the middle of Debenhams, is it?”

Brett gave a last look around and then sat down carefully.

John laughed. “Lie down, give it a proper try.”

Muttering under his breath, Brett lay down. Actually, it was a very comfy bed. He wriggled and gave a little impromptu bounce to test the mattress’s resilience.

“Getting comfortable, are we, gentlemen?”

Another sales assistant was standing at the foot of the bed, only this one was smirking at them. He was cute, in a twinky sort of way. Not that Brett was into twinks. He had his hands full with a certain newly qualified teacher.

The assistant arched a single thin eyebrow. “And whatever did you say to my colleague to send her running for me?”

John sat up. “All I said was, we were looking for a new bed.”

The cutie grinned. “Ahh, the penny drops. It was probably the word ‘we’ that sent her off to the hills.” He looked at them both. “So, can I also interest you in the headboard that comes with this particular model? It has built in drawers.”

John flicked a glance at Brett. “Ooh, think of all the things you could store in there!” He licked his lips.

Brett couldn’t take anymore. “I’ll take it.” He got up off the bed and gave John a stern glance.

The sales assistant beamed. “Excellent. Come over to the cash desk and we’ll sort out payment and delivery.”

Brett nodded and followed him. John sidled up to him and leaned in close. “And when it arrives, I’ll make sure I’m around to give it a proper road test.” He winked.

Suddenly Brett had a whole host of ideas as to how they could test it. Come to think of it, maybe he should pre-order another bed, just in case.

A huge thank you!

SomeonetoKeepMeTWhen KC and I started out writing Someone to Keep Me, I fretted about how the book would come out. Not because KC isn’t an amazing writer, because she truly is. For me, it was more that I wasn’t sure I’d be able to keep up with her energy and drive. She has everything laid out and I tend to wing it. Yet somehow we made it work.

Someone to Keep Me has stayed in the top 20 on Amazon for almost a month. We hit #1 in several countries and #2 in the United States. and were there for quite a while. We also hit the bestseller list on AllRomance and Dreamspinner. I can’t tell you how much that means to us.

To those who purchased our first joint effort, a huge thank you for getting on board. To those who wrote to say how much they loved Scott and Ben, we’re truly honored. To those who didn’t enjoy the story, we thank you for trying it and hope you’ll find something else we’ve written that will be more to your liking.

A year ago, KC Wells shared bits of An Unlocked Heart with a new writer. She asked his opinion on some things. Then asked if he’d consider talking with her while she planned Trusting Thomas, the second in the series. The new writer was humbled, and said yes because he loved the characters so much. After plotting the book out, Ms. Wells asked if this author (oh hell, it was me, I admit it) would consider writing a book with her. My immediate reply was no. She was multi-published already. Had a spate of reviews under her belt. I had one short story and was working on a novel.

Then I had the idea of how to make our differences work for us and suggested it to her. Her reply: Duh. Of course we can make it work. You need to believe more in yourself.

Thus began the plotting for Someone to Keep Me. The story of Scott and Ben. We hoped it would find an audience. I was afraid that teaming with a relative unknown would hurt the chances for the book to  do well, but the day it came out we hit #1 in Australia, the UK, Germany, Canada! We also hit #3 in the United States (against some amazingly stiff competition…heh, I said stiff).

Today I found out we hit lists in Italy and Spain!

I’m so glad that KC didn’t give up on me. Didn’t think that teaming up with a noob was a bad thing. This book put me over the top into happiness. Then, just as I was putting this together, I found this: We actually hit the lists in freaking JAPAN!

JapanSo apparently we’re doing pretty damn well. And I’m kind of doubting we could be much prouder.

(Okay, fine. For argument sake, we’d be over the moon if we hit #1 in the US, too, but we’re not greedy.)
