Blurb:

What a difference a year makes. Twelve months ago, Victor Kalinski was one of the best and most controversial ice hockey players in the pros. This year he’s playing in the minors, has a paternity case pending, and has just been vindictively outed to the world by one of his own teammates.

But he seems to find life in the tiny town of Cayuga to his liking. A large part of that is Dan Arou, the Cougars’ alternate captain and the man who now holds Victor’s heart. Surely venomous, viper-tongued Victor hasn’t been mellowed by love!

Well, perhaps a little. But that doesn’t mean he doesn’t intend to get sweet revenge on those who’ve hurt the man he loves and the friends he’s somehow made along the way.

Excerpt:

“Listen, about the kid’s name…”

“It’s amazing, isn’t it? You’d better go before Dan wakes up the neighbors. I’ll talk to you later.” She turned to go inside, then spun back around. “Oh! I want you to know that Jackie and I are super excited to have two gay dads in our life.” She rose onto her toes, placed a kiss on my new beard, then hustled inside.

“I’m bi,” I told her door, then made my way to the impatient Canuck. “What is your issue?”

“I’m tired and I want to go home,” Dan replied with tang. Lemon Tang, judging by the way it burned when it hit me in the eye.

“I’ve never seen this side of you,” I commented as he slammed the Caddy into drive and peeled out of the parking slot. I glanced back to see rubber from my tires on the blacktop. “Want to slow down some, Kyle Petty?”

“Sorry.” He hit the brakes at a stop sign so hard I almost face-planted against the windshield. “Sorry again,” he muttered, then exhaled loudly as I glowered at him. “Okay, I am feeling some real jealousy, and I hate it, but there it is.”

I tossed aside the seat belt I had been trying to buckle. “Nothing to be jealous of, Dan. Not. One. Thing. I love you.”

“I know, I know,” he said, then rested his brow on the steering wheel. I put my hand on the back of his muscular neck and began massaging the tight cords. “It’s just way harder than I thought it would be seeing you and her together.”

When not writing spicy romances, she enjoys spending her day with her menagerie in the rolling hills of Pennsylvania with a cup of fresh java in hand. She can also be found online on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and GoodReads.
