Luke believes he has his life figured out…and then he meets Theo.

It should have been simple—a summer spent with his girlfriend Zara at her family’s holiday cottage in Cornwall. Seventeen-year-old Luke Savage jumps at the chance, envisioning endless hours of sunbathing on the private beach and riding the waves on his beloved surfboard. He isn’t interested in love. Though his rugged good looks and lazy charm mean he can have his pick of girls, he has no intention of falling for anyone.

Nothing prepares Luke for his reaction to Theo, the sensitive Oxford undergraduate who is Zara’s cousin and closest friend. All at once, he is plunged along a path of desire and discovery that has him questioning everything he thought he knew about himself. No one, especially Zara, must find out; what he and Theo have is too new, too fragile. But as the deceit spirals beyond their control, people are bound to get hurt, Luke most of all.

Jarod from Dom of Ages

Of all the characters KC and I wrote, Jarod struck a chord with me. He’s 50, and all he wants it to serve. But in his world, submissives are young, twinky things, something he most certainly is not. When we wrote it, I will admit, the first section of the book made me cry buckets. I had bloggers write to me and say that they’d never cried over an excerpt before, so that let me know we were onto something special. Today we’re taking the opportunity to interview Jarod for the Endings and Beginnings tour. Unfortunately, one blog was unable to post their stop, so this little tidbit would have gone unposted, and we couldn’t have that.

Ladies and gentlemen, I give you Jarod Pearce.

The End has come…

The End has come…

In the beginning there were men…two of them. Alex and Leo. Their story, An Unlocked Heart by K.C. Wells, amazed and thrilled me. I loved Leo, strong and dominant, and his need to protect Alex struck a chord within me. This was the first BDSM novel that I read that really hit home. The men were perfect counterpoints to one another. Alex needed Leo’s guidance, especially with all the turmoil he suffered at home. Leo needed Alex to make him feel complete. I was certain that the author couldn’t top this book.

Then came Thomas and Peter. Oh, holy hell. The tears that book evoked stunned me. Although K.C. wasn’t graphic about what Peter had endured, it still tore me apart to see how this young man suffered. I was honored when K.C. asked me to talk through the plot with her. I made some suggestions that she used in the story.

While she was writing it, she asked if I would ever consider writing a book with her. I said no. Immediately. No hesitation. Because I did not think that my writing was on par with hers. But as I worked that night, I thought about a potential story. A boy from the United States, who desperately needed someone who wanted him, who would keep him, gets pulled into the machinations that swirled through Collars and Cuffs at the time. K.C. liked the idea, and we started writing Someone to Keep Me.
