Someone to Keep Me Reviews

My View

My first glimpse behind the doors of the club Collars & Cuffs was in the story An Unlocked Heart. I enjoyed getting to know the owners and employees of the club and learn about their past heartbreaks and successes.  As each story has progressed the characters have become more familiar, and even though it’s a new couple featured the past characters continue to play integral roles in the books.

Now on the third round we get to meet Scott, an American boy (barely 18) who travels to the UK to meet up with someone he met online. Sound like a bad plan? Well, Scott is amazingly innocent and rather naïve. Lucky for him fate has another plan and he is rescued by Ben Winters at the airport.  The entire Collars & Cuffs crew steps in to help Scott adjust to his plight of being stranded abroad, and soon it’s clear that Scott and Ben are made for each other – even if they don’t know it yet.

One of the things I have liked about all of these stories is that they can be enjoyed by a BDSM novice or veteran reader alike. I think the author(s) do a great job of portraying the lifestyle in a fair and not over-glamorized way. If you know a romance reader who has wanted to try a BDSM story this is a great series to begin with because things are explained well and the characters are very loving and filled with emotion.  I always say I love a good love story when characters do really give away their hearts, and this can be said for all of the Collars & Cuffs books.
